How to get there: Getting here in Yukon is not difficult by road there are more than enough
open way and you can see are stunning views. Driving is one of the most straight forward and compensative way to see Yukon. Nitainlaii Park: it is located on Dempster highway. It is perched on a cliff overlooking the Peel River, surrounded by a large stand of white birch and white spruce trees. This is a very peaceful place to spend a night or two and it provides a fascinating glimpse of the traditional life of the Gwich'in Dene, past & present, interpreted by a long time resident of the area. The Yukon border is also located close to this area where you can stop there and take photos. And, note there is time zone change at the border .So you need to set your watch one hour ahead while going to north and one hour back going to south. Great Northern Art festival: The Great Northern Arts Festival is a celebration of the culture and the arts of the North and is generally considered to be the most important arts event in the region. The festival was founded in 1989 by Sharlene Alexander and Sue Rose. What was originally intended to be a small affair turned out to be more popular than they had imagined. Finding, at last, a way to connect with each other 35 artists from all over the Northwest Territories gathered In Inuvik including Inuit, Inuvialuit, Gwich'in, Dene, Metis and many of Canada's additional First Nations, as well as non-Aboriginal artists from as far away as Alaska, the Orkney Islands of Scotland, and the Yucatan in Mexico.
