My earliest memory of Eklavya is of the Euphoria I attended in December, 2006. It was not me but my younger sibling who was studying in the school at that time and thus performing, and I was just a spectator. A pleased spectator to the function and an amazed spectator to the huge school campus. After attending the function, I made up my mind to join the following year. And I did. 56 and weighing 70 kg when I joined in 6th Std., my classmates really thought I was some Senior School kid who had entered the Middle School by mistake. Though as it would turn out in the following years, joining Eklavya was not a mistake. Far from it. As I look back, I realize that MS, for me, was a complete package. Parents got called to meet Rajal Maam, called once again to meet Sunil Sir, learnt a new language (Sanskrit), was made an office bearer, lost a lot of weight, enjoyed the night-outs, became punctual and most importantly the Eklavya experience removed the introvert tag from me. Senior School was a maturing experience. I absolutely grew as a personality. More than studies, I dedicate my growth to the various opportunities given to me. Anchoring in Euphoria, being part of the Phoenix SS plays, speaking in the Juicy Stories in the Assembly, experimenting in the Science Edisons, decorating the campus for the events, volunteering in various activities, competing in the interhouse competitions, learning in the Nature camps and gaining in the weekly classes with Sunil Sir. Above all of the aforementioned was the Free Elective. It is one of the most memorable and proud experiences of my life in Eklavya. The journey has been the one of fun and wisdom. As it comes to an end, I recognise that Eklavya for me isnt just a school. It is a culture. This culture is a concoction of Sunil Sirs values, Rajal Maams love and daat and the warm affection of all of the staff i.e. educators, housekeeping, admin and the bus drivers and conductors. True to the values of Eklavya, I have chosen my own path and will strive to be an Eklavyian all my life.
