GET TO KNOW

ME!
beyond the obvious
Hello there! Have you ever wondered what life is
like for someone like me? Well, guess what, my
autobiography is an interesting one.

Let me start off by saying that writing speeches

aren’t really my cup of tea. I find it really difficult to
begin as there are so many different ways to do it. I
can start with, “One day…” but then it would be too
common. Finding the right way to start a
composition, for me, is the most taxing thing in the
world to do. However, I want to share my story and
let other people get inspired by it. So hold on your
seats and let’s dive into my world.
Everything started one Saturday past
midnight in the 7th day of December year
2002. This was when I made my entry to this
world; grasping my first breath of air. I
believe I made my parents really happy just
by being here, and, that is where they
named me Christine Niña Galeste.
TRIVIA

My parents, Albino Galeste and

Evangeline Galeste, waited for 7
years wishing to have a baby. So,
they decided to profess their
devotion to Sr. Santo Niño in Cebu, When I was young, I was intrigued
in which they travelled yearly to by the name that was given to me:
pray as devotees of the ‘mahal na Christine Niña. My mother told me

me “Nins” or “Tintin”.

my education years
I realized early in life that I had always been a higher
achiever: be it in educational pursuit, sports, and in one’s social life. I
was such a gregarious child that school was a favorite hang-out. I got
to play sports like table tennis and badminton. I joined extra-curricular
activities. I got to volunteer for community programs and projects that
focus on developing one’s civic-mindedness and a thrust on social
responsibility. Likewise, I have developed this passion of challenging
myself into getting a particular grade, which, I almost always get to
attain. Ever since I was in my elementary education up to high school, I
have been acknowledge to be the top of our class, earning awards
both in academics and extracurricular.

As I started pursuing higher education: college years, I

realized that my personal and professional goal is to pursue a degree
to specialize buildings and innovate houses; which remains basically
the same – touch the lives of others through sharing what I have
learned, through the skills that have been honed, and through the
competencies as well as qualifications that were developed through
years of academic pursuit. There is still the firm belief that happiness College Photo
and success comes only with hard-work and determination. I could
aim to becoming an ARCHITECT in the future. soon…

“Friendship is an incomparable, immeasurable boon to me, and a
source of life — not metaphorically but literally”

About 7 years ago, I met these six wonderful

people during high school which turned out to be my
closest friends until now. (shout out to Arah, Glydel,
Krizzia, Sheila, Keanna, and Jersan)
The fact that I am an extrovert person, I have
came across many individuals revolving around my
circle. From hundreds of thousands of friend I encounter,
they are the ones whom I truly see myself. These people
right here are my real gems. Our friendship didn’t have a
solid beginning unlike most relationships, but we have
remained our bond until our college years. We have been
through a lot of ups and downs, yet, we were able to
keep our circle intact. They are the ones who molded me
to become a better person and somehow inspire me to
never give up. We may have separate ventures now that
we are growing up, but that does not mean we can’t
spend time together anymore. People may come and go,
but our memories together will be treasured forever.
the finale
My life is a mixture of moments, some happy moments and others not so much, but
regardless, these moments have made me the person that I am today and I don’t regret
anything that had happen. I consider myself a strong, and a very determined person, I
have dreams to fill the world and I am willing to do the necessary efforts to attain those
dreams. The time to breathe before advancing further in my future projects, the difficult
moments instead of discouraging me, these moments give me motivation and the
necessary energy to move forward. I am optimist but realistic. My parents taught me
that we live in a world that is constantly changing and to succeed we need a smart plan
and the ability to adapt and adjust to the changing world environment but more
importantly one need to prepare one’s self to succeed. We need discipline and above all
an unshakable will to resist difficulties when they happen. “An ongoing work of art”
would probably be one of the best ways to describe my life. From very early on in life, I
have learn that I can be the artist of my own life through guidance and hard work, I
learned that we are the architecture of our life, the artist of our own destiny through
work, commitment and determination. Every route taken or not taken will somehow
impact our existence and leave a trail like a shooting star in the night sky, the beauty of
the trail depends entirely on the nature of our actions in life.
