The British Museum is the oldest, and one of the largest museums in the world. Where else can you see some of the greatest treasures of all time under one roof? Hyde Park is the largest &ark in London. In the )* and )+ centuries it was a &lace where kings and ,ueens walked and rode, and duels were fought. The &ark was founded in )-./, now it is a &o&ular &lace for recreation. In the &ark you can find &laygrounds, the most &o&ular &lace is the Lookout 0 an educational centre where children learn a!out nature, and lots of catering outlets, they offer e(erything from a sim&le sandwich to three1course meals.

It is still the most &o&ular and talked a!out wa' e'hi!ition in the world, and has !ecome synonymous with e'cellence.

2or many centuries the Tower of London was known as the White Tower !ecause in )374 Henry III &ainted the fortress white. This name is still a&&lied to the central &art of the fortress. Initially the Crown 8ewels were ke&t at Westminster 9!!ey !ut the king felt that it was unsafe to kee& them there and for security reasons the 8ewels were mo(ed to the Tower of London.

Westminster Palace is ),444 years old. It was damaged !y fire in the )+th century hand re!uilt. 9n architect Charles 5arry, who won a com&etition for the !est design, redecorated the interior of the "alace.

London Eye 0 the !iggest o!ser(ation wheel in the world, it is one of the newest and most &o&ular tourist attraction in London. :The Eye: was o&ened in 3444, it takes you on a :flight: that gi(es a ./41degree (iew o(er the ca&ital. %ou will stand in a glass ca&sule that ascends into the sky on a wheel that is )-4 m high.
