One end of the line is closed using a plug and the other end is fitted with the pressure gauge. Compressed air is pumped into the line under testing, using air compressor and retained in the line at the test pressure as indicated in the following chart number of hours. The reading of the pressure gauge is checked after the specified test duration. If there is a drop in the pressure gauge reading, all the joints are checked for leakage using soap water.
