i have created multiple stencils by finding pictures or patterns on the internet and redrawing them onto a piece of paper, i then transferred the image on a separate piece of paper of card board by placing the stencil down and painting or spraying paint over it.

whist making my first stencil it was easier and faster to cut out because i used scissors as when i used a scalpel although it was not as effective of accurate as the scalpel allows you to create more precise detail. out of my stencils i believe the peace tree that i used with paint was more effective as it has defined lines meaning no mistakes where made compared to my i love you stencil that i created with spray paint that hasn't got solid outlines as the spray paint slipped under the stencil because it was not stuck down enough during the spraying. if i was to redo this task i would have used blue tack to stick down my stencils properly , i would also have used stippled stencils instead of doing an outline as it looks more effective in some cases. After asking my peer what i could of done to improve my stencils this is the feedback i have gotten: Abbey :

Next time make sure to cut the lines neater this will help in creating a more
professional stencil sprayed the paint closer this resulting in the paint being being darker making the image sharper Grace:

you should of peeled it off quicker as it has blended the lines into the unpainted area , making the look of the image weaker
