    WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: (Morning) TOPIC: Theory, Selection and Design of Solar PV Plant Technology

    Key takeaways: Upon attending this workshop, the successful participant will be able to make educated decisions for implementing solar photovoltaic power projects. He/she will be able to access site potential and suitability for establishing a plant, select various PV modules, inverter and other technologies, appreciate the details for installing a solar power plant, theoretically deduce the plant performance and output, and ensure best practices in terms of safety and quality. About the Instructor of Course:
    Dr.M.Sundaram Associate Professor Department of RAE PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. Only Individual Participation accepted. Only Two sessions, Duration 90 Minutes each. Participant Kit is provided. (Includes ID, File, Note pad, Pen) Only the candidates participated in Workshop are allowed attend the PostLunch technical event.

    EVENT DESCRIPTION: (Afternoon)


    Maximum 3 per team Maximum no of teams for finals: 6 Each team will be provided with A TABLE LAMP, SOLAR PANEL, MULTIMETER, RESISTANCE, LUX METER, ETC.

    Each team has to use these devices to determine the efficiency of solar panel and after the event; each team should provide minimum one or two ideas to improve the solar efficiency. Optimum efficiency will be calculated by the organizing team. TEAM which reaches nearest exact value in experiment and based on innovative idea, TEAM will be announced as winners. After the event PhD scholar from solar energy will address young minds and explain current global research scenario in solar energy. [PS: If the strength is more prelims will be conducted with objective type questions from basic physics.]
