UNIT #2 STUDENT OUTLINE The following is a list of what each student will need to complete over the next

days of class. This will count as Unit #2. You will have flexibility in what practice you do, but not in your quizzes or tests. You will also have some flexibility in when you take tests and quizzes, but they MUST be complete by the end of day 10. PRACTICE: COMPLETE 6 PRACTICE OPPORTUNTIES: 30 points (See Below) QUIZZES: 1. Irregular Verbs Quiz 25 points 2. Tech., Classes, and Ordinal Numbers Vocabulary Quiz 30 points

PROJECT: Waukee High School Persuasive Essay 35 points TEST: 75 Points Retake Policy: A student may retake a quiz in my class as long as the following items happen: 1) Do an extra practice opportunity related to the quiz you are taking 2) Do 1 re-teaching session with Mr. Folsom before or after school. Once these two items are completed, you can retake an item. Draw 6-8 slide cartoon and provide 2sentence caption for each slide. Use unit vocabulary. 2. Write - 1 page story incorporating as much chapter vocabulary as possible (counts as 2) 3. Write song/rap using technology vocabulary or school vocabulary (counts as 2 or 3 if presented to class) 4. Design a Facebook page for anyone that you want. Incorporate technology vocabulary and appropriate descriptions. (Counts as 2) 5. Write newspaper article that can be read by other students in the class. Topic can be your choice. Must go through editing process (counts as 2) 6. Begin workings of a website that students could use for Spanish 3 at Waukee (Could be a continual project for the year) (Counts as 2-3 depending on final outcome)

Schedule: Day 1: in Computer Lab Irregular Verbs and Expressions Day 2: 25 minutes in library Irregular verbs, expressions and tech vocabulary, Saber/Conocer Day 3: Saber/Conocer, Tech Vocabulary Day 4: in Computer lab Present Progressive: Regular and Irregular Day 5: Review of all items so far. Classes Vocab Day 6: Indirect object pronouns, Ordinal numbers Day 7: Indirect object pronouns, Review Day 8: 25 minutes in library Review of previous items Day 9: Review of previous items Day 10: Test/Wrap-up Unit Suggested deadlines: Quiz #1: Done by Day 5 Quiz #2: Done by Day 8 Project: Done by Day 9 Test: Done by Day 10
