GroundrulesforusingRevit: Dimensionsareinfeet,notinches,unlikeAutoCAD. Drawingsareexpressedasviewswhichareplansateverylevel,reflectedceilingplans, elevations,sections,details,obliques,isometricsandperspectives Thereisonlyonedrawingfilefortheentirebuildingnomatterhowcomplexorlargethe buildingis.Thereforesavingfrequentlyandmakingbackupsiscritical. ThenameRevitcomesfromRevisItthus,itisintendedtobeusedinaright brainedway,thatis,throwstuffdownimmediatelyandfixthedimensionsand materialslater. YourdrawingistermedaModelbecauseitisa3dobject.
