What is the Endocrine
System?
The endocrine system
is a collection of
physically
disconnected organs
that helps to control
growth , development ,
and responses to our
environment .

The Endocrine system

is made from
physically
disconnected
organs. This system
lets us respond to
our stimulus and
maintain
homeostasis. In our
system, a stimulus is
anything that
triggers a change in
our organisms.
These changes can
be chemical, cellular,
or behavioral.
Rate of
Communication
The endocrine system
works like the
satellite television
system. The satellite
sends signals to the
televisions with a
special receiver. The
endocrine system
chemical signals are
carried throughout
the body, and only
cells with certain
receptors can
receive the signals.
THE 7 GLANDS
There are 7 glands in
the endocrine system.
They are located
different parts of the
body, and they are:
Hypothalamus-middle
of the brain, Pituitary-
below the
hypothalamus,
Thyroid-in the
windpipe, Thymus- in
the chest, Adrenal-
above the kidneys,
Pancreas- between
the stomach and
intestine, and the
gonads- located in the
pelvis for men and
located in the Ovary
for females.
Differences
of the
Nervous System
While the nervous
system is physically
connected networks
of cells, tissues, and
organs. The
endocrine system is
a collection of
physically
disconnected
organs. Both
systems have
different rates of
communication. The
nervous system
moves quickly and
the endocrine moves
slowly. At last, the
