EARLY ANCESTORS OF ECUADOR

These are the ruins of the Incas. It is where they used to live. They are ancestors of Ecuador.

! People are making pottery and metal tools. People are gardening, cooking and hunting. People were preparing meals to eat. These people are the early ancestors of Ecuador.

Caras (native people) were the rst people in Ecuador and that is why they are also called native people. They were very good at pottery and metal work, then they used their pottery and metal tools to help them live.
Fun Fact : Did you know that the native people ate stuff that they harvested? Like corn, beans, potatoes, squash, guinea pigs and dogs that they raised for meat.

Incas taught the Caras their language. In return the Caras let them live on their land.The Incas took tax from the Caras and made roads, temples and pyramids.

The Incas used to live in Peru. They came to what is now called Ecuador in the 15th century. The Incas were people who had an emperor named Atahualpa (There is a picture of him on the right). The Incas were people who hunted. They were people who were warriors.
This is Atahualpa. He was the son who won the battle to become Incas emperor after his father.
