Bio-physical sciences anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning/skill acquisition. 2. Socio-cultural studies philosophy, sociology of sport and physical activity, cultural studies. 3. Physical Education - two or more of: Outdoor Education, Health Education, Education, Curriculum and Pedagogy, Sport and Coaching Pedagogy. * At least one discipline or subject should be taken to 300 level, with a balance of others at 200 level. Unrestricted entry. An interest in education outside the classroom is required. Requires participation in a campbased learning experience. An extra cost is involved with this. Unrestricted entry; but previous education in sociological, psychology or health sciences is useful. A genuine interest in adolescent health and well-being is essential. Strong communication skills are also desirable because of the nature of health education pedagogy. 100 level papers passed in more than one science area eg biology and chemistry or physics and geology. Relevant areas would be: biology, chemistry, physics, agriculture, horticulture, astronomy, geology, physical geography, human biology.

Two or more papers passed at 300 level in the particular subject. Waivers to these entry requirements or combinations such as nursing, horticulture etc could be considered at the discretion of the Programme Leader in conjunction with the Head of School. 300 level in a suitable subject e.g. History, Geography, Sociology, Political Studies, Anthropology (provided there are some Social Anthropology papers), Law. If the degree includes another major subject e.g. 300 level English, then 200 level in one of these areas would be sufficient. At least two papers at 100 level and two at 200 level in Geography, environmental studies, planning, earth science or associated subjects. If wishing to teach beyond level 1 Geo, will need to have at least one 300 level paper. At least two papers at 200 level and two at 300 level in Geography, environmental studies, planning, earth science or associated subjects. Education for Visual Communication

The course offers secondary practical art, technology and Graphics (D & VC) specialists, as well as teachers in other areas, the opportunity to develop broad strategies and understandings as well as specific skills in using visual communication effectively to extend and maximise students learning. The focus is predominately on 2D applications. Students will need to have a background degree or substantial industry experience in the Visual Arts including aspects as Design, Multi Media production, Architecture, Product Design, Art, Graphic Design, Stage Set Design or any other relevant field of study. The course provides an opportunity for students to engage in design-based activities that encourage the development of a visual literacy that extends across a broad range of genres.
