School Specific Overall Process


Curriculum Mapping
Teachers will backwards plan for entire year by leveraging PACT PACT will enable teachers to schedule when to assess, when to reteach, and when to reassess through calendar function

Common Assessments
Common assessments created by specialist in content areas
Enable data driven lessons

Data Talks around assessments will occur


Common assessments will cover every unit in their curriculum Teachers will be given blue prints of common assessments at the beginning of the year

Instruction
Teachers will follow lesson cycle & assess learning everyday Data talks will occur between teachers and administration to cover common assessment results and create an action plan Data talks will occur between teachers and students, enabling students to track progress toward mastery Curriculum map has days booked for re-teaching

More Time for Math and Reading


Math
6th and 7th grade science teachers will teach a math acceleration class every other day Standard focus lessons with concentration on difficult TEKS

Reading
Read, Lead, Succeed will be executed every day for 40 minutes Focuses on literacy across contents

Expansion-Creation of a PACT
PACT tool was informally shared with other schools Popularity of tool formed momentum 8 schools are now involved in pilot to utilize PACT and collaborative process
Schools formed a pact to share data on every common assessment Schools agreed to share best practices Conduct learning walks on each others campuses

Monitoring
Teachers and administrators will conduct data talks together Administrators will analyze data after every common assessment Appraisers will conduct daily walkthroughs Data will be posted all over campus to create awareness
