    Published: 2005 pages: 48 Summary : A cute and clever book that has 16 rhymes with corresponding pictures to complete math equations. Poems/equations cover simple addition/subtraction and multiplication. Rhymes give clues for students to group objects to make solving the equation easier.

    Related CCSS or Professional Standard: KCC- count to tell the number of objects 1-NBT- understand place value 10 can be thought of as a bundle of ones=ten 2-NBT- use place value understanding and properties of operations to add/subtract 3-OA- understand properties of multiplication and the relationships between multiplication/division 4-OA- use the four operations with whole numbers to solve problems

    Age/ Grade level and How It Would Be Used: I think this book would be used for grades k-4 students. K-2 could use this book for grouping and simple addition. Grades 3-4 could use this book for grouping larger numbers and multiplication. Could also be used for scaffolding for any age group, whatever skip counting/ multiplication they can easily complete, moving up to 6s, 7s, 8s, ans 9s. This book could also be used for fluency practice for grades 3-4 with its rhyming patterns.
