Response from pitch to the target audience

When we finished our presentation we covered a lot of points like the narrative, locations and in depth to the characters. We got loads of positive feedback from the target audience regarding the idea, narrative and the ending. The twist made most of the class laugh which we wanted otherwise it would have been too depressing. The ending is once Sam is beat up and left for dead, Sydney helps him up and Sam thinks they took the wrong ticket when in fact they took the winning ticket. The response is exactly what we wanted, however on thing was brought up to our attention. The character Sydney had too much of a back story, to fix this we are going to include her in the narrative much more. There was a complication with the idea that was brought to our attention, it was very similar to a film called lottery ticket which we had never heard of till that day.
