Brainstorm: Coldplay

By Nathan Morgan

I would like to use in my video the seamless at least once because I like the continuous scenery change. I do like the idea of parallel Editing, jump cutting and dissolve editing techniques. I would like to include varies shot types like Establishing shot Medium close up Close up Over the shoulder shot Long shot Mid shot Point of view shot

In the music video the The music video has a background was bland narrative but only shows didn't t really show through the lyrics. anything, that s when I want I want to show the to make it more detail with narrative with the use of loads more scenery. characters which show it The green room better like E.g. Katy Perry is going to be roar. helpful with my I would like to add an abstract music video for background to make the editing. character stand out from the Editing processes Postproduction rest. One idea is to make the Style background black and white Also a couple of cut Viva la Vida and the character will be in in and over the diverse colours to show shoulder shot imaginative atmosphere. I would like to use image editing to completely change the background texture, sharpness and colour. I would also use the EQ system to change the reverb and reflectivity and audio effects. The location would properly be a street or collage.

I do like a convention s cutting to a soundtrack which starts with the character doing something and a sudden movement cuts to the song.

conventions

I would like to use camera angle eye-level, high and canted if I have a perfect opportunity to use it. A head on shot would be a good one I would like to use a variety of camera movement in my music video. Panning is a good one to use e.g. paradise uses it to show the airplane. Also famously used in bad boys 2 shoot out scene in the house. A tilt would be one to add to the list, a camera movement that involves moving the camera vertically up and down from a fixed position.

A montage would be a style to use along with surrealist . I like the use of a dark and doll colour but sometimes it can make a music video a flop. One of the best music video that I have seen that uses this effect is Linkin park Iridescent the only colour object you see is the red robots eye. This increased their popularity because the band did all the main theme songs for transfomers. I like the use of special effects like all the neon glows, along with seamless edits the best example for this is Linkin Park - "New Divide which shows loads of good conventions and editing techniques to make one brilliant music video.
