Man shot while changing tire; police looking for suspects


Boynton Beach police are investigating a shooting this morning that sent a man to the hospital with a
gunshot wound to his back.
Kalicia Bertrand, 19, told police that he was working on a car in the 200 block of Northeast 14th

Avenue around 11:20 a.m. He was changing a tire when he heard a car pull up and then the sound of a
gunshot. Bertrand got up and ran to his aunt’s house on Northeast Second Street, where he collapsed in
the street.
Bertrand was taken to a hospital. He is expected to recover.
Police are actively following leads in this case and ask that anyone with information call Detective
