a goalkeeper always wants to straddle the invisible ball line in order to be in the best location for positioning.
practice this by nailing down a rope on the middle of the goal line. run it to the ball that is near or just outside the box.

Work each save 6 times per cone colour. Start b/w cones, mini shuffle step & touch cone, step & shot start b/w cones, shuffle to cone, shuffle back to middle & shot Start b/w cones, cross over to cone, cross back to middle & shot
Try to get 6-8 reps of overhead throws, goal kicks & punts. Aim at your coach's feet GK start at the near post, back pedal & set for tossed high ball (ball should land anywhere between the white & yellow cones) Now you are ready to receive some shots from your team.
