Yesterday a local police offcer became a hero. Offcer Paul Jones
saved two brothers from drowning. At 5pm, Offcer Jones was walking
home along Main River when he saw two boys in the river. He quickly
took off his shoes and dove in. First, he pulled Steven Lowe, 9, out of
the river. Then he dove back in. Next, he pulled Colin Lowe, 11, out
of the river, too. The boys were okay. Later said later, We were trying
to sail our raft in the river. However, they did not make it well and it
sank. Steven and Colin could not swim and they were not wearing
life jackets. If Offcer Jones did not see them then they would have
drowned. The boys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowe, said they were very
thankful to Offcer Jones. Thank you Offcer Jones. You are our
hero, they said.
