Vocational Guidance is guiding a person on his/her career.

About what that person is going to do in life, what job he/she wants to pursue as time passes by. The guide tries to make use of the persons talents or wants and gives alternatives on what to pursue in relation to these facts. The person who is being guided doesnt necessarily have to be very good at this aspect or art. He may also need to be interested in it, or he may just need to have a certain love for the art. (e.g. youre very good/very interested at computers and numbers, so the Vocational Guide may give you alternatives on a career as a computer technician or a job regarding numbers like a bank employee, or a programmer, anything would do, as long as the Vocational Guide gives alternatives.) Vocational Guidance usually starts at High-School (not taking into account the less formal interviews we get at Elementary likewhat do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a superhero). If we can remember correctly, it is in High School that we are taken into the guidance counselor for a talk about our future in life. In College, I think we are able to remember a talk with the

Guidance Counselor properly, regarding our career, and they even introduce us to certain opportunities, recommendations in certain companies or institutions.

3 Phases of Vocational Guidance 1.) Preparation = In Elementary or at home, we are taught how to hold the pencil or how to wash the dishes properly, etc. 2.) How to find a job = 3.)
