To the parents of Daniel It is such a joy to have Daniel in my class. He comes to school with the desire to learn, and he has good social skills. I enjoy seeing these qualities in my students. His personal interests in school are science, social studies, reading, writing, and math. Daniel gets along well with other students and has a group of friends that he hangs out with. He likes to help out in class whenever I need help in class. There are a couple of things I would like Daniel to do to help him become more proficient in reading. If it is possible to have Daniel read to you for at least 20 minutes every day, it will help build vocabulary, help his fluency with reading, and he would comprehend better what he is reading. Students who can read fluently enjoy reading more for they understand what they are reading and they arent struggling with trying to read most of the words. Each night I will be sending home an activity for Daniel to work on. These activities will help him sound words out and to recognize that all words have a vowel in them. This will help him learn how to sound out words and spell the words he is writing. Again, I would like to state that it is such a joy to have Daniel in my class. It is wonderful to see students have the desire to learn and try hard to achieve his goals. Sincerely,

Mrs. Montgomery
