VOLUNTEER UCF TO HOST NOVEMBER HUNGER BANQUET Bring Your Favorite Canned Good for Hunger Banquet To Benefit The Knights Pantry WHAT: Volunteer UCF will hold an end of the semester banquet called November to Remember. Attendees are required to bring canned goods for admission into the event. Volunteer UCF will donate every collected canned good item to the Knights Pantry. John Hitt will present the Presidents Volunteer Award to volunteers who have achieved 200 volunteer hours. Buddy Dyer will deliver a speech about the impact Volunteer UCF made on the central Florida community. Amy Bonillia & Shelby Olson will name the new Student Director for Volunteer UCF. Saturday, November 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. University of Central Florida: Pegasus Ballroom 4000 Central Florida Boulevard Orlando, FL 32817 John Hitt, president of UCF Amy Bonilla, founder of Volunteer UCF Shelby Olsen, student Director of Volunteer UCF Buddy Dyer, mayor of Orlando Volunteer UCF seeks to end a month of giving with a banquet to recognize both new and old members of the organization for their contributions. Volunteer UCF is paring with Knights Pantry in order to provide the organization with close to 300 pounds of canned food for the winter semester. All canned items collected at the event will be donated to the Knights Pantry. Founded in 2009, Volunteer UCF is dedicated to promoting civic engagement and education on social issues that affect the University of Central Florida student body. Currently, Volunteer UCF has more than 300 active members and has collaborated with 200 organizations.
