TRAFFIC LIGHT CONTROLLERUSING 8085 MICROPROCESSOR

AIM:
The main aim of this project is to design a Traffic light controller using 8085 microprocessor. The 8085 Microprocessor is a popular Microprocessor used in Industries for various applications. Such as traffic light control, temperature control, stepper motor control, etc. In this project, the traffic lights are interfaced to Microprocessor system through buffer and ports of programmable peripheral Interface 8 55. So the traffic lights can be automatically s!itched "#$"%% in desired se&uence. The Interface board has been designed to !or' !ith parallel port of Microprocessor system. The hard!are of the system consists of t!o parts. The first part is Microprocessor based system !ith 8085. The second part is the traffic light controller interface board, !hich consist of 93 7+08s in !hich 0 7+08s are used for vehicle traffic and they are connected to 0 port lines of 8 55 through :uffer. ,emaining 7+08s are used for pedestrian traffic. The traffic light interface board is connected to Main board using 3 core flat cables to 3;pin )ort connector. The 7+08s can be s!itched "#$"%% in the specified se&uence by the Microprocessor. The bloc' diagram of the system is sho!n in fig.4. The lay out of the traffic light is sho!n in fig .
