Organize Tweet ups across various cities (Twestivals)

Top 3 winning ideas to be developed into successful apps for the Windows Phone Marketplace. In addition to the grand prize of Rs 10 lakhs (1 million),the runner up to get Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 2 lakhs each. Rest 7 winners to win 7 Nokia Lumia 920 handsets.

Your Wish Is My App initiative started on social by developing an idea hub on Facebook, inviting the consumers to submit their App ideas

Facebook hub to collect the App ideas

To further increase the participation, consumers were invited to submit their App ideas through daily Facebook updates

Post the submissions, the App ideas were open for public voting out of which one winner was chosen to be a part of the Your Wish Is My AppNDTV show

Twitter

Leveraged Twitter as the primary platform to invite consumers and submit their App ideas

A series of contests were run on the Nokia India official Twitter property, creating maximum visibility for the initiative and collecting commendable number of App ideas from the consumers

The response from consumers was overwhelming !

Engaged with influential Twelebs to run contests on their online network to collect app ideas and further amplify the buzz

#YourWishIsMyApp trended for 9 consecutive days on the India trend map !

To accrue votes, a series of twitter contests were run on our official property asking our followers to vote good/bad against one relevant app idea

#YourWishIsMyApp again trended thrice on the India trend map !

Twestivals

3 Mega Twestivals were conducted in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi


Consumers, bloggers and influencers were invited to come and present their App ideas to the panel of judges

3 shortlisted ideas from each city were made to be a part of the Your Wish Is My App NDTV show

Attended by over 100 people, Your Wish is My App Twestival in Bangalore was conducted as an interactive community meet up & an audition for Worlds 1st App Reality Show

NDTV Show

After the collection of App ideas, the nine-episode reality TV show Your Wish Is My App was launched on news network NDTV

These shows gave the top 36 submissions the chance to fight it out for the cash prize in front of panel of judges The winning apps were awarded for their originality, relevance, revenue potential and practicality
