    WHAT IS PEMIRA ?
    PEMIRA (Pemilu Raya) is a place where students give their contribution by choosing the president of EM Brawijaya University 2011

    PHENOMENON THAT OFTEN OCCURS IN TODAY'S SOCIETY IS THE APPEARANCE OF VOTE-NO-ONE PERSON. THEREFORE WE CONDUCTED A SURVEY ON 30 NEW STUDENTS AT BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY. AND THE FOLLOWING ARE THE RESULTS OF OUR SURVEY.

    THE SURVEY SAID THAT LESS THAN THREEQUARTERS OF THE NEW BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS CHOOSE TO NOT VOTING. AND ABOUT A QUARTER OF NEW STUDENTS WHO GIVE THEIR VOTE.

    Why dont you give your vote? More than a half said the reason is

    there is no socialization of the committee in providing information about PEMIRA.

    whereas less than a quarter of new Brawijaya University student said that no appropriate candidate. And in a small percentage, new students said that they just went along with friends to not voting. And the rest said theyre too lazy to vote.

    Why do you give your vote?

    Less than half of new students wishing to participate in PEMIRA. While more than a quarter new students reasoned that there are appropriate candidates to choose. Less than a quarter said they just went along with their friends. And the rest just do it for fun.

    Some students also give their opinion about the person who dont vote

    Less than a half new students argue that the people who dont vote dont give a damn or apathetic. but a third of the responding said its fine.

    And in a small percentage, new students said that the people who dont give their vote acts more wisely than choose the wrong choice.
    The rest said those who dont vote are lazy people.

    In addition, the new students also provide the perfect solution to prevent people who dont give their vote. Almost all students suggested that the committee of PEMIRA should held more socialization, especially for the new students, that dont have an enough information about the election.
