    John Coburn is a very famous Australian artist. Coburn was an Australian abstract painter. He was also known for his tapestries. Born in Ingham, Queensland, Coburn served in the Australian Navy during World War 2 and later enrolled at the National Art School. He has won 2 prizes for religious paintings.

    The Painting I chose was "Summer" and is a beautiful abstract painting of some very Aussie summer nature. I like it because it really captures summer (my favourite season) perfectly and makes me feel really warm and fuzzy inside.
