Lesson Plan Checklist

This checklist should be used to verify that your lesson plan includes all of the required elements for success. Teacher, grade, subject(s), date(s), time/length of Lesson Plan Information lesson(s) Incorporate physical activity breaks, energizers, Take 9 Structured Physical Activity and active learning into classroom lesson plans
(1 per day/K-2) (1 per day/3-5 in homeroom)

Learning objectives, TEKS, Student Expectations Resources/Materials

*Indicate William & Mary, when applicable.

Uses language of the TEKS, include verbs that are measurable and observable, addresses learning target(s), matches objective posted in class List all resources/materials, manipulatives, handouts, book(s), websites, dance mats, etc. Providing students with different avenues to acquire content, relevant learning experiences, small group instruction, enrichment/extension activities, technology integration, multiple learning pathways, etc. Whole group, small group, paired, individual Marzano instructional strategies (cooperative learning, nonlinguistic representations, reinforcing effort and providing feedback, etc.), creative, innovative, motivating, engaging, connected to learning Promote learning by requiring students to apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information instead of simply recalling facts; plan questions in advance; multi-step thinking Identify strategies used to assess student learning, student demonstration of knowledge and understanding, formative/summative Interdisciplinary units (tasks)
