My Future Classroom

Classroom Design Rationale

In my classroom, the students desks are arranged so that not only is my desk
visible to them, but the SMARTboard as well. There is an area with a circle rug for them to come to at story time. Being able to get up an move here will help with students concentrate better. No student should be expected to sit for a long period of time without movement. There is also a computer area where students can go two at a time to do some work, or free play during free time. On every wall, there is something posted, be in a bulletin board, class art work, or classroom rules.

Other Information
Not only does each wall have classroom rules etc, but there are also
inspirational posters for reading, as well as posters with nouns, verbs, and adverbs.

The classroom is similar to the first classroom I ever observed in during my

phase 1 year at Molloy College.

The room is based off of my students, so that they may learn in the least
restrictive environment, and to optimize their potential properly.
