Purpose:
This test equipment assesses theproperties of textilefabrics in responsetoashort
contact with asmall ignitingflameunder controlledconditions.
Theequipment is basically composedby:
- Mounting frame, capable of holding the test specimen holder and the gas
burner in thespecifiedrelativeorientation ;
- Gas burne, capable of being moved froma standby position, where the tip of
the burner is at least 75 mm from the test specimen, to either the horizontal or
inclinedoperatingposition ;
- Specimen holder, consisting of a rectangular metal frame having a support
pin at each corner .
