8th Grade Art Students 6 Week Project

Week 1 - Study and discuss high stakes testing and its effects on student stress. Develop opinions based on fact; a PowerPoint presentation will be shown to the students outlining basic history and current events involving high stakes testing. Week 2-3 Students will work together to design a set based on the script being written by the Drama Department. Students must collaborate to ensure that the set is appropriate for the show, and that the scenery matches the setting. Week 4 The design must be finalized by students this week. Approved by the Drama Department and the Art Department alike, the design will be detailed enough for students to accurately scale it to a full set. Week 5-6 Students must utilize their design and artistic abilities to create the set for the Drama Production.
