Rhythm Game Lesson Plan Rachael Holloway Setting 4th Grade General Music Rationale Students will learn

to count rhythms, as well as notate rhythms that are dicated to them, and create simple rhythmic compostitions using whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, and quarter rests !hey will "egin to internali#e the $feeling% of each of the rhythmic &alues as they use the mo&ement of their own "odies to $play% music National and State Standards 2.0 Students will perform on instruments, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music 2.1.1 Perform basic rhythmic patterns (half notes, quarter notes, paired eighth notes, quarter rests) 4.0 Students will compose and arrange music within specified guidelines 5.0 Students will read and notate music 5.1 Identify and explain symbols represented in rhythm and melody 5.2 se symbols to read, notate, and perform.
