Objective: Students will become familiar two new sight words have and help by the end of the lesson. Procedure: Introduce new sight words. Explain the meaning, go over spelling and have the students use each word in a sentence. They will then complete a have and help tracing worksheet, as you guide them. Materials: Tracing worksheet and highlighter. Worksheet will be in drawer labeled Monday. Evaluation: Students can put their papers in their cubbies. Students will do a sequencing life cycle craft. They will need to cut out the different stages of the life cycle and glue it to construction paper. Construction paper and cut outs will be in the drawer labeled Tuesday.

Students will color and cut out a flower pot picture. They will glue it to construction paper. The materials can be found in the drawer labeled Friday.

Objective: Students will write about magic seeds. Procedure: Guide the students with a sentence that they can refer to for help. They need to write at least 2 good sentences. Check over their sentences and have them read it back to you. Materials: paper pencil Evaluation: Students can put their paper in their cubby. Wash hands for lunch. Students get coats and lunch/ticket and sit on carpet. Walk to cafeteria at 11:30. Read and discuss The Tiny Seeds.

Objective: Students will write about anything they want. Procedure: Students are able to write about anything they want. Give them the paper and let them go to work! Check over it when they are done. Materials: writing paper and pencil. Tuesday drawer Evaluation: Correct any errors with the student and then they can put their paper in their cubby. Wash hands for lunch. Students get coats and lunch/ticket and sit on carpet. Walk to cafeteria at 11:30. Read and discuss Leaves book.

Objective: Students will write about the different parts of a plant. Procedure: Give students a paper. Model for them a part of a plant in a sentence or two. Materials: paper Pencil thrusday drawer Evaluation: Correct any errors with the student and then they can put their paper in their cubby.

Objective: Students will be able to distinguish length between objects. Procedure: Show students multiple objects around the room that are longer and shorter than each other. Have them tell you which one is longer/shorter. They will then complete a comparing pencils worksheet. Check the worksheet. The worksheet will be in the Wednesday drawer. Materials: worksheet Evaluation: when students are finished and the worksheet has been checked they can put it in their cubby. Objective: Students will be able to distinguish height between objects. Procedure: show students things around the room that are different heights, show them different kids that are different heights. They will then complete a dog worksheet comparing different heights of dogs standing up with a bone ruler. Check the worksheet. The worksheet will be in the Thursday drawer. Materials: Dog worksheet. Evaluation: when students are finished and the worksheet has been checked they can put it in their cubby. Music practice during this time in Mrs. Hiltbrandts room.
