Describe and explain the strengths of your Activity Lesson Plan and implementation (reference your plan, use specific examples) ! "as very "ell prepared and set#up "ent very smoothly. $atie helped me, "hich "as very nice. !%m happy that ! used small pieces of sponge because there "as still &uite a bit of "ater that ended up under some of the student%s creations. 'he paper to"els really helped soa( up the "ater. ! did bring plenty of all supplies for the entire pro)ect, from set#up through cleanup. *elissa and ! decided that ! "ould play the +D and sho" the boo( after recess, during circle time so that all the children could hear the story. 'his "ay, ! did not have to play the +D during choice time, "hich ! felt, "ould be distracting to the other centers. 'his "or(ed out very "ell, 'he children seemed to really en)oy the story so much, ! "as able to discuss color "ith them follo"ing the story, 'hey "ere very engaged in the conversation, ! started out "ith six children, but as choice time progressed and children finished their collages, other children too( their place. ! believe 1- children in all did the pro)ect. .ome, li(e /anati, stayed almost the entire time, 'he fabric ! used "as perfect and the colors loo(ed beautiful, 'he children did "hatever they "anted to do, 'hey especially li(ed using the eyedroppers. 0hen they pic(ed up their fabric, they loved ho" their paper to"els loo(ed as "ell, '"o of the children helped "ith cleanup. 'hey did a great )ob. 'hey "ashed everything that needed "ashing in the sin( "ith soap and "ater. 'hey even told me that ! did not need to help them, so ! cleaned up the table and floor. 1. Describe and explain the areas for improvements in your Activity Lesson Plan and implementation (reference your plan, use specific examples) ! "ould use multiple layers of paper to"els. .ome of the collages "ere &uite "et and drippy. ! "ould also figure out a different approach to labeling the collages. 0ith so many children doing the pro)ect and the amount of "ater soa(ed into some of them, it got a bit chaotic for me to label them for a fe" minutes. ! also didn%t have a chance to tal( to the children as much as ! "ould have li(ed to about color during the activity. At first ! did, but as more children came, it "as merely a matter of (eeping up, !%m glad "e had some discussion during circle time, 'here "ere so many collages made that "e had to lay them on the counter to dry and then *elissa and 2renda ended up hanging them up, ! "as going to hang them outside on the fence, "hich "ould have been perfect, but it got too "indy to do so. -. Describe and analy3e the documentation that you collected (attach all documentation to this form) ! too( pictures of the children "or(ing on the pro)ect, ! too( a picture of *aya, my portfolio child "ith her pro)ect. ! also too( pictures of the girls helping me clean up. *aya seemed to en)oy the pro)ect and stayed for a good amount of time. ! noticed that &uite a fe" of the students "anted to mix colors and some "anted to ma(e sure they colored every bit of their fabric. 4ne "onderful aspect of art is that no matter "hat language you spea(, you can create, David 5ose spea(s very little 6nglish, but he didn%t need help "ith his collage,

Teac(in% E88ectiveness: 1. 7o" did advance preparation (or lac( of it) contribute to the success (or lac( of success) of the activity8 ! "asn%t at all nervous to implement my plan. 2eing prepared al"ays helps everything flo" more smoothly, 1. 0as the activity carried out as planned8 0hat changes to your plan "ere made and "hy8 Did the changes enhance or detract from the activity8 'he activity "as carried out mostly as planned. As ! stated before, ! played the +D and sho"ed the students the story at circle time, instead of during the group time, "hich definitely enhanced the activity, *elissa and 2renda ended up hanging the collages later on, "hich "as very helpful to me. ! also didn%t use a stapler to attach the labels because "e )ust ran out of time. 'hose "ere the only changes that "ere made.

-. !f you "ere to use this activity again, "hat "ould you repeat and "hat "ould you change8 0hy8 ! "ould do this activity again mostly the same "ay, except ! "ould have much more discussion after the story instead of during the actual activity. 'he children "ere much more receptive after the story than they "ere "hile "or(ing on their pro)ect. ! "ould also figure out a different "ay to label the collages. !t "as )ust too chaotic to do it the "ay ! did it and some of the labels didn%t stic(. ! "ould put more paper to"els under each collage as "ell,

9. :eflect on your teaching experience. 0hat did ;4< learn from this activity8 ! learned that even "hen you plan really "ell, unforeseen things happen, such as "ith the labeling, but it%s o(ay, because "hat really matters is that the children en)oyed the pro)ect and learned from it, Also as the pro)ect progressed, ! noticed areas that ! could improve in li(e (eeping my phone in my poc(et at all times so that ! could ta(e pictures &uic(ly,
