Statement of Transmittal Explanation of Choices

In the prepared statements and scripts, we share sympathy without taking responsibility. These events are not a representation of your company. In the prepared statements and scripts, we give all the information needed for the public to be aware of the event that took place. The prepared statements and scripts are easily adaptable to specific individuals/events. In the prepared statements and scripts, we explain all the policies that are in place for protecting the residents and employees. The prepared statements and scripts are written similarly so there is one coherent statement across all of the company. In the phone scripts, we include the Solutions of North Texass website in case callers wish to donate money to the company. To avoid liability, we do not disclosing personal information about the victims. The prepared statements and scripts are separated with a page break for each scenario to make it easier to find each event. In the prepared statements, we include the Solutions of North Texass phone number in case the public has questions. In the prepared statements, we use direct addresses such as we and you to make it friendlier. The choices on our style sheet reflect our intent to make a readable document. Each scenario is in a larger typeface, Arial font 14, to distinguish the scenario from the prepared statements and scripts.

Scenario One: Twenty-five year old former male resident, who was just released from Denton County Jail, comes to open meeting at mens residence on Thursday at 8 PM and opens fire on meeting attendees with handgun. He kills two and injures five. Address: 1524 N. Ruddell, Denton, TX 76209
Press Release: Our hearts go out to the residents who were involved in the shooting at our open. On Thursday at 8 pm, a former resident attended an open meeting in the mens residency and opened fire on the attendees. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the residents who were injured or killed. At Solutions of North Texas, we strive to help people who struggle with alcohol or drug addictions. Because we want to protect the people who come to us, we have a policy against weapons on our campuses and at our open meetings. We have been in touch with the families of the victims and with the former resident who opened fire on the open meeting. We have also been in contact with the local police about the situation. A former resident decided to participate in a meeting before firing at the attendees. At Solutions of North Texas, we strive to help people who struggle with alcohol or drug addictions. Because we want to protect the people who come to us, we have a no weapons policy to provide safety on our campuses and during our open meetings to ensure the safety of our residents and people who attend our open meetings. We have been in touch with the families of the victims, the injured victims, and the former resident. The police are currently investigating the situation. Scenario Two: Current female resident, thirty-two years old, has psychotic break and kills roommate, house manager, and herself with a knife on Sunday at 3 AM. Address: 2216 Bolivar Street Denton, TX 76201
Press Release: We are deeply heartbroken by the deaths of two of our residents and one of our staff members on Sunday evening. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends during this difficult time. At Solutions of North Texas, we take great care in treating our patients, making sure they have the resources and support needed in order to follow the twelve-step program. We actively keep our environment safe and enforce rules for each guest at our establishment to ensure safety. We have met with the police investigation unit and they have determined that one of the residents had a psychotic break resulting in the three deaths. Press Release: We are deeply heartbroken by the recent attack on two of our staff members on Friday morning. Two of our staff members were attacked by a client who was turned away. The two members are currently in critical condition and admitted to the hospital. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends during this difficult time. Scenario Four: Ex-boyfriend stabs female resident fourteen times, kills female resident, and drives off on Saturday at 9 PM. Police are looking for the suspect. Address: 2216 Bolivar Street, Denton, TX 76201
Press Release: Our hearts go out to the female victim who was stabbed on our campus Saturday night. The female victim was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend who drove off before police arrived. Our condolences go to the victims family. We were very excited about the recovery of this young woman, and we are sad to see her time cut short. Here at Solution of North Texas, we take steps to try to prevent these types of events. We limit the contact the residents have with their family and friends so we can remove our residents from the unhealthy factors of their outside life. While we do our best, we cannot prevent every tragedy. We continue to be in contact with the family as they go through this hardship. We have also been in contact with the local police, aiding the search in any way we can. We hope to move forward from this event and continue to help recovering addicts. The young woman was stabbed by her exboyfriend who drove off before police arrived. Here at Solutions of North Texas, we are dedicated to helping men and women who are struggling with addictions. We perform routine drug and alcohol screenings while the resident lives in our housing. We have talked with the other residents of this house, and they never saw the resident use drugs on Solutions of North Texas property before. We advocate that residents notify us when they see drug or alcohol-related activities on our property. We have been in touch with the residents family and are continuing our investigation to find out who and what contributed to this tragedy.
