As your mentor, what's
going well that I can do

The one thing that I think is going well when it comes to mentoring is the side by side coaching. As the weeks go on, I find that I will benefit from this most. I believe I
learn best by doing, and doing the right thing repeatedly. By side to side to coaching, I am able to implement most what I need improvement on, instead of just stepping
aside and not taking action. One other thing that is that is going well with my mentor is communication and openness to questions and comments. No matter the time of
the day, any questions I have I know I can bring forward to my mentor without feeling like it's too much and in return, receiving the best answer possible to her

I think that because I am now recognizing the most beneficial way for me to be coached, that is something I'd like more of. Side to side coaching really gives me the
opportunity to take action and work on the areas in my teaching that need improvement. It's in the moment, and catches me right there and then, allowing to build a habit
out of those actions (narration, behavior management, incorporating other skills, etc.). I think another strategy that I will benefit from and would be open to using more of
would be the white board. When I'm in the heat of a lesson and become off track by side to side coaching or having my mentor jump in, I might lose direction and my

Domain 4 Comments: Nicki has been timely in most of her requirements and
responsibilties. She is collegial and works well with the Triad. Her appearance is
professional every day. She has shown initiative with classroom resonsibilities
and by using teachbale moments. She will become more familiar with CC as she
just signed up for the AUSL PD per my request.
Domain 3 Comments: Do Nows and Exit tickets continue to be Nicki's greatest
strength - her implementation is strong. She is using Cold Call and will continue
to improve on No Opt Out with practice. Her implementation of TPS is consistent
and her exit slips will improve upon practice and more opportunities in front of
the classes.
Domain 2 Comments: Nicki seems comfortable in front of students and has a
strict but warm tone/voice. She will continue to address student actions that are
inappropriate immediatley and without emotion. She does have a friendly
demeanor with students and uses authentic attention signals tht gain 100%

CTR, He is collegial and works well with his Triad. His appearance is professional every day. Scott has
shown initiative with CCSS by finding resources to share with his resident team that support their
understanding of the standards.
Domain 3 Comments: Do Nows and Exit tickets continue to be Scott's greatest strength - his
implementation is strong. He does need to add rigor to the content and assessments needs to match
the lesson objective. Scott is using Cold Call regularly, however, he struggles with following up with No
Opt Out. He needs to rehearse possible responses so he is ready when students do not know
answers. His implementation of TPS is consistent.
Domain 2 Comments: Scott still struggling to find his teacher persona. He does not look or sound
confident in front of students. He hesitates, makes statements as if asking questions, and does not
address student actions that are inappropriate. He does have a friendly demeanor with students, and
he is making use of many least invasive interventions for 100%. Scott will scrpt and practice explicit
directions and his narrations so he is prepared for his transitions.

Domain 1 Comments: Scott is putting a great deal of thought into his planning and his lesson plans are
always submitted on time. IWY structures in planning need more refinement - the main points of the
lesson need to be articulated for students early on. Scott is using 4Ms to guide his planning, he will
improve with more practice. The MCB has been assigned to Scott for 2 days of the week - he needs to
be more concise and his handwrititng needs practice. Do Nows and Exit Tickets are improving weekly.
Scott recognizes that the lesson objective and assessment need to be in sync, however he does not
