Although my lesson was shortened due to a loc-down drill, I felt
that if my lesson were to have gone the full length it would have
been a successful lesson. I thin- I did a good >ob planning for the
small space that I was given. !ne area that I could of improved on
was bringing more soccer balls so that every student could have
they?re own ball.
&. 'esson (ontent
For the amount of time that I taught I thought that my lesson
content was good. "he activities that I provided the students with
were s-ills that would eventually help them succeed in the modified
game that was to be played later. An area that I could have
improved on if my lesson went longer is maybe not tal-ing about
shooting with the laces cause many of the students didn?t get the
concept, they were instead -ic-ing with their toes.
). "ransition/(lassroom *anagement
For the amount of time I had there wasn?t really much transitions or
management that happened. "he one management aspect of my
lesson was setting up the cones and other e7uipment prior to the
lesson which was e9tremely helpful. An area that I could have
improved on if the lesson went longer is, since I was in such a small
space, there was no need to bring the entire class bac- into the
center of the gym to e9plain the ne9t activity. I could of >ust stood
in the middle of the gym and e9plained from there.
+. (ontent Delivery
For the amount of time given to me I thought my content delivery
was pretty good. I did a good >ob of having a loud and confident
voice so that the students would respect and listen to me. An area of
improvement would be slowing down when e9plaining s-ills and
activities. .ince I was limited on time I tried to tal- very 7uic-ly
and get instructions out fast.
,. Feedbac- given by you to the .tudents
"he length of the lesson was around $) minutes so there really
wasn?t much time to give out feedbac-, but for the time I had I tried
my best to give out as much as possible. An area of improvement I
could of done if the lesson was full length is give out more
corrective feedbac- because I tend to give out more positive than
corrective.
/. Feedbac- you received from (ooperating "eacher
Feedbac- I received from *s. *urray was very limited due to the
shortened lesson. *s. *urray told me that I handled the situation
very well and there was nothing more I could of done.
@. Final %aragraph
"he most important thing I learned today was that as a teacher you
need to be prepared for anything# "oday was an e9perience that I?ll
never forget and will only help me in my future teaching episodes
and career.
