Boulevard Theatre Premieres New Play

MILWAUKEE (Sept. 21, 2013)Bay Views Boulevard Theatre will premiere its new play,
Jerker, Sept. 18-22, 2013 at the LGBT Community Center.

Founder and owner of the Boulevard Theatre Mark Bucher is known for producing and directing
risqu plays and Jerker is no exception. Jerker was written by Robert Chesley and tells the
story of two men ("J. R." and "BERT") who "meet" via a series of phone sex calls in 1985. The
action occurs in the city of San Francisco, just as the mysterious "gay plague" (HIV/AIDS) is
beginning to assert itself throughout the country.

The play will showcase the talents of Bill Jackson and Marty McNamee, who play J.R. and Bert,
as they do an onstage read of the provocative play. Since the play is not completely acted out, the
audience will have to try to understand the play from just the reading. McNamee said, "They're
gonna think that it's about two people talking to each other sexually, when really it's about the
connection they have over a series of phone calls."

LGBT Community Center in order to reach many diverse audiences. Through its partnership, the
theatre hopes to have a big turnout from the LGBT community and the city of Milwaukee. The
expectation is for many to come see and understand the world of those in the LGBT community
by educating them.

Tickets for the play are on sale and can be purchased at the Boulevard Theatres website. Due to
the provocative and adult content, the play is only open to patrons18 years and older.
