Bella Baby Sugar 4ply 50g balls as per size
1 pair 3.75mm knitting needles
1 pair 2.75mm knitting needles
2 x buttons
Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
FLOWERS
13 x 100g balls Moda Vera Marvel 8ply*
5.50mm crochet hook
Scissors, yarn needle
*1 ball gold for MC (centres), 12 balls in colours
of choice.
CUSHION COVER
ABBREVIATIONS
K knit P purl sts/s stitch/es
FRONT
Using Shiver and 9.00mm needles cast on 35 sts
Work in stocking st until piece is square (approx 35cm).
Cast off.
BACK
Work same as for front.
FINISHING
With right sides facing, sew back to front along 3 sides using a whip
stitch. Turn right side out and place insert into cover. Sew the fnal side
closed.
FLOWER Each fower is worked in 3 colours

dc double crochet sl st slip stitch tr treble crochet
dtr double treble sk skip
lp loop sp space
Magic Circle (used when you want a tight circle with no hole in the middle) =
wrap yarn twice around your fnger, work a sl st into the lp, slip the lp off your
fnger and work the frst round into the ring (over the two strands), pull the yarn
tail to tighten the loop to create an invisible centre.
{ie: sl st into lp, work 6dc into lp, sl st into 1st dc, then pull tail to close centre.}
MC = gold, worked as the centre for all fowers
C1 & C2 = colours of your choice
Using MC and 5.5mm hook work 6dc into a magic circle, sl st into 1st dc to
form a ring.
Rnd 1: [(1dc, 2ch, 1dc, 3ch) in next st] 6 times, sl st into 1st dc. Fasten off.
Join C1 into any 2-ch lp with a sl st.
Rnd 2: *(1dc, 2ch, 3tr, 2ch, 1dc) in same 2-ch lp, sk 3-ch lp, repeat from* 5
times, sl st into 1st dc. Fasten off.
Join C2 into any 3-ch lp with a sl st.
Rnd 3: *(1dc, 3ch, 5dtr, 3ch, 1dc) in same 3-ch lp, move to next 3-ch lp, repeat
from* 5 times, sl st into 1st dc. Fasten off.
Make 25 fowers in as many colour combinations as desired and sew to front of
cushion .
Tip make these fowers to sew onto bags, hats, throws, etc. sew to a brooch
back, headband or hair clip.
