Subject: 150-ton Electric BOP Handling System

To Whom It May Concern,

Ingersoll Rand is capable of designing and building a 150-ton capacity electric BOP Handling System, but the
costs of electric hoists of this size are prohibitive.
To give you a rough estimate and this is not a quotation, this is as stated an estimate-only an electric 150-
ton BOP Handling System would be in the range of $1,200,000 - $1,500,000.
Additionally, the lead-time to develop this type of project would be in excess of 12-months.
In the past when we have quoted an electric BOP Handling System for this type of application, the cost
compared to a pneumatic powered system has been excessive and the customers have always chosen air-
powered. Therefore, we have never built an electric version.
