PROBLEM SOLVING &

ORGANIZING
I learned a lot about problem solving and organizing while
I was the Executive Treasurer for student council and being in
charge of the Homecoming Fireworks. Every year the student
council sets a goal for how much we would like to raise for the
fireworks show. This year the goal was set at $2000. After the
goal is set it is my responsibility to raise the money by getting
sponsors. I sent out letters to our previous donors to try and get
sponsors. The problem that we encountered was that the money
was coming in much slower than the years past. How the
problem was solved was that I called the past donors that we
hadnt heard back from and also contacted other local businesses
to try and increase the amount that was donated. The goal of
$2000 was reached and exceeded with the problem solving
skills. By organizing the project I learned about problem solving
skills and also how to be organized with the money coming in
and how to deal with the problems that come with responsibility.
