What can this learner do?

-Student is able to understand the teaching point of the lesson (topic sentences) and apply it
to his writing
-Learner is aware of a method of revision, where he went back into his writing and made
revisions with a different colored marker
-Learner is able to generate topic sentences that reflect the information in the paragraph
What questions so I have about this learner and/or his work?
-In my instruction, I did not go over how to revise and there were some students in the class
who had difficulty with editing their essays. With that said, I wonder where this student learned
to edit and if he is familiar with other techniques too.

What are my next steps?
-I can use this student and his work as an example for the rest of the class. Students can
discuss various methods of revision and the importance of it. Perhaps it can also serve as a
guide for students still struggling with topic sentences.
