The National centre For Advoca cy Studies (NCAS) is a social change
resource centre which aims to strengthen rights based and people-centred advocacy. NCAS endeavors to create conditions for empow erment of people at the grassroots level, as well as increasing awareness of human rights, social justice and transparent and accountable governance.
Content of film/documentary for film competition
Entries should be based on any matter relating to human rights or social justice in India.
Guidelines & Rules for digital short film and
documentary competition NCAS welcomes all short films and documentaries on matters related to human rights and social justice, produced between January 2000 and November 2009. All participants must be between the ages of 18 and 30. No entry fee will be charged. The entry can be in any language and must have English sub- titles. Submissions must be between 3 and 15 minutes in length (including opening titles and end credits) The cut off date for entries to the competition is 30 November 2009. Prizes will be awarded in Rupees. First prize will be 21,000, Second prize will be 15,000, and third prize will be 10,000. Films submitted with an incomplete or unsigned entry form will not be accepted. The submissions must be in two DVD-video (PAL format)only. Submissions must be filmed on a Digital camera. Each entry must be clearly labeled with title, running time, name of director and date of production. 1 Technical details of requirement (Audio:224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, Layer 2) (Video: 25 fps, 720 X 576) All participants must provide NCAS with a valid email address and telephone number. Organizers will not take any responsibility if any communication does not reach due to invalid email addresses or telephone/mobile phones. NCAS will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any films The jury reserves the right to decision of the Nomination for the competition After accepting the invitation to participate in the competition, films may not be withdrawn.
