FINAL YEAR PROJECT:

THE PENULTIMATE PHASE

FYP students, you have reached the penultimate phase of your Final Year Project course.
Please take note of the following milestones and tasks:

Week 11 (4 - 8 May 2014)
1. Complete Project Proposal (FYP 1), Draft Final Report (FYP 2) and Technical Paper
(FYP 2).
2. Submit to Supervisor for final review. Supervisor fills in the Review Form found in the
Logbook, i.e. page 21 (FYP 1) and page 38 (FYP 2).

Week 12 (11 - 14 May 2014)
1. Make corrections and improvements to Project Proposal, Draft Final Report and
Technical Paper as suggested by Supervisor.
2. Produce final version of Project Proposal and Draft Final Report conforming with the
cover and binding formats found at fkaas-fyp.weebly.com/seminar.
3. Fill in the particulars on the cover (i.e. department and names of examiners) and
obtain approval from your Supervisor (i.e. signature and stamp).
4. Submit three (3) hardcopies of Project Proposal and Draft Final Report to the FKAAS
Office before 5:00 pm, 14 May 2014.
5. Submit final version of Technical Paper conforming with format (hardcopy and
softcopy) to Supervisor for assessment.

Week 13 & 14 (18 - 31 May 2014)
1. Prepare material for seminar presentation, i.e. Powerpoint or Flash slides (FYP 1) and
Poster (FYP 2).
2. Prepare for oral presentation.
3. Complete Logbook and submit to Supervisor for verification and assessment.

supervisor to the FKAAS Office by Wednesday, 14 May 2014
(before 5:00 PM) will be allowed to present at this seminar.
