One of the most
prominent symbols of
Greece are dolphins
because they got their
name from the family of
Platanistidon and
Stenidon.
The olive (scientific Elea, Olea) is a genus
of fruit trees of the family of oilseeds
(Oleaceae), which occurs very often in
Greece. The fruit also called olive and
olive oil that is produced. The olive has
been the symbol of the goddess Athena
