Skype is a free voice-over-IP service and instant messaging

client, currently developed by the Microsoft Skype Division. Skype is a little piece of software
that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. Also, until the
end of the year (2006) you can also make free calls to landlines and mobiles in the US and
Canada from Skype. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you
and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video
calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and
there's no setup or subscription fee).
In addition, you can use Skype to chat with other people, send files, make conference calls,
video calls, and more - all over the Internet.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL
Step 1:- Open your Browser.
Step 2:- Visit http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-
windows/downloading/ Skype setup will start downloading.

Step 3:- When the downloading will be finished click on it.

Step 4:- A new window will open and it will ask for the language use
English if you can read and understand English and click on I-agree
next button.

Step 5:- it will ask to install click to call. Put a check on it and press
Continue button.


Step 6:- then it will ask should I make bing and msn as homepage,
uncheck them and press Continue button and wait for the installation
to be completed.

Step 7:- Now your skype is installed and it open the application.

HOW TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT
In Skype you can sign in using your Microsoft account or facebook
account or you can create an account.

Step 1:- Visit https://login.skype.com/account/signup-
form?intsrc=client%7Creg-a%7C0%2F6.14.59.104
Step 2:- Fill all the required information and create a skype name for
e.g.: abc123etc and then click on I agree Continue button.

Step 3:- it will say welcome to your account which means your account
have been created and now you can use the skype.

HOW TO LOG IN TO AN ACCOUNT

Step 1:- Type your skype name and password at the skype
application and press Sign in button.

Step 2:- you are logged in to your account.
HOW TO ADD A FRIEND
Step 1:- go to Contact->Add Contact->Search Skype Directory.


Step 2:- Write the Skype name of your friend and your friend account
will appear Click on it and conform it whether it is the account which
you are finding.

Step 3:-Click on the button Add to contact, it will open a text box
write the text to tell your friend that it is you and click Send.


Step 4:- the request is sent. A ? will appear on the skype name of the
persons account until he will accept your request.


Step 5:- If you have send the request to a wrong person then remove
the person from the contact list by right clicking on his skype name
and the remove from contacts.

Step 6:- It will confirm. Press remove button if u really dont know
him.


HOW TO CALL
There is a Call button on every skype name. Select the available
person whom you want to call and press Call.


HOW TO Send a Message
Type in the box to send a message.
