NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION

the saying goes.. Lets now see what this current

inention of !"LL#$%!S was for.

INTRODUCTION

!ellonics allow modem speeds &'((( times

faster than our present modems.

%t is )ased on the way )iological cells

communicate with each other and
nonlinear dynamical systems *$DS+.

Benefits are incredi)le speed' simplicity'

and ro)ustness.

INTRODUCTION

The AS!%% uses a com)ination of ones and

,eros to display a single letter of the
alpha)et. The data is then sent oer radio
fre-uency cycle to its destination where it
is then decoded.

Human cells respond to stimuli and

generate waeforms that consist of a
continuous line of pulses separated )y
periods of silence. The !ellonics
technology uses these pulse signals and
apply them to the communications
industry.

INTRODUCTION

$onlinear Dynamical Systems *$DS+ are the

mathematical formulations re-uired to
simulate the cell responses.

%t uses porta)le deices' and proide these

deices with faster' )etter data for longer
periods of time.

%t consumes ery little power.

PRINCIPLE OF
CELLONICS
TECHNOLOGY

!ellonics . "lectronic cells.

%t has the a)ility to encode' transmit and

decode digital information oer a
ariety of physical channels.

/ired and wireless communications are

possi)le.

The !ellonics technology is a fundamental

modulation and demodulation techni-ue.
The !ellonics receiers generate pulses
from the receied analog signal and
performs demodulation )ased on pulse
counting and related algorithms.

The study of )iological cell )ehaior is only

an inspiration to the inention of
!ellonics circuits. The !ellonics technology
is not related to any neural networ0
communications or neurophomic
electronics.

Slow waveforms1 Analogue waeforms

that ary slowly with time. These
waeforms can )e in any ar)itrary shape.

Fast waveforms/fast pulse trains1

/aeform in the shape of pulses that
aries rapidly with time.

The transfer characteristic consists of three

different regions.

The two lines at the top and )ottom hae

positie slope 2&3456.

They represent the regions in which the #p.

Amp is operating in the saturated
*nonlinear+ mode.

The middle segment has a negatie

slope*#p.Amp operate linearly+.

The rate of change of signal oltage 27s6 is

e-ual to 27(6 which is dependent upon the
slope of the input triangular waeform.

/hen the slope is positie' the #p.Amp is

sta)le and outputs a constant saturation
oltage.

/hen slope is negatie' the #p.Amp is

unsta)le and the output would )e
oscillating.

By controlling the duration of the negatie

slope' the num)er of pulses to )e
produced at the output of the #p.Amp can
)e controlled.

The transfer function of a Tunnel diode

e8hi)its the 9$. cure:.

By connecting an inductor and a tunnel

diode in series' we can produce pulses
that are separated )y periods of silence.

That would mimic the )ehaior of cells.

CONCUSION

The !ellonics communication method is one inspired )y

how )iological cells signal. %t is a fresh and noel loo0
at how digital signals may )e coneyed. %n this digital
day and age' it is timely@ current digital
communication designs are mostly deried from old
analog signal methods. /ith the !ellonics method'
much of the su).systems in a traditional
communication system are not re-uired.

$oise.generating and power.consuming systems such as

oltage.controlled oscillators' PLLs' mi8ers' power
amplifiers' etc.' are eliminated. To a communications
engineer' this is unheard off. #ne ?ust doesn6t )uild a
communication deice without an oscillator' mi8er'
orA.

Such is the reolutionary impact of !ellonics. "ngineers

will hae to reform their thin0ing. that such a simple
solution is possi)le.
