Congratulations

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your recent accomplishments in life. Due to your overwhelm-
ing awesomeness we wish to offer you an award to help pave your way into independent living. This
award offers you housing and a “Start Your Life Grant” paid for by the Lowery Foundation.

The “Start Your life” award is given annually to nine of the most de-
serving students at New Trier. This grant varies in amounts but all
include a single one bedroom apartment paid for for 12 months in Chi-
cago.

You will not be able to bring anything but clothes with you. Every-
thing you will need you need to budget.

There are some important crucial rules for earning the  

“Start Your Life Grant.”

 You must fully budget what you will do with your

Grant (all of it)
 You may not go over the budget or go below it
by more than $50

Bed Bath and Beyond
 You must shop online for everything you need and
Sears
can only use approved stores.
Ask for additional approval
 All items need to be linked to your Excel
worksheet
 Must use 3 different stores/sites

 All required items must be purchased or explained
