People choose careers for many reasons(finacial gail, job satisfaction).What do you
think is the best way to choose a career. Use specific reasons and example to support your
answer.
know some people who gi!e more thought to what they wear to work each day than
they ga!e to choosing their careers. Personal, think that career planning is multi"step process
that in!ol!es learning about yourself, disco!ering which occupations are suitable for someone
with that personality tipe, !alues, interests and skills.
t is !ery important to ha!e a satisfing job. #ob satisfaction has been defined as an
affecti!e reaction to one job. $o that the happiest people are with their job, the more satisfied
they are said to be.
%or an organi&ation is important that people be efficient. %or that they must be
moti!ated. #ob satisfaction is not the same as moti!ation, although it is clearly linked. #ob
design aims to enhance job satisfaction and performance, methods include job rotation, etc.

organisations. )he most common way of measurement is use of rating scales where emloyees
report the reactions to their job. *uestions relate ray of pay, work responsabilities, !ariety of
tasks and promotional opportunities. $ome (uestions ask yes+no (uestions while others ask to
rate satisfaction on ,"- scale. fre(uently see these tipe of (uestions on on"line inter!iews and
know from my father what (uestions has on his last inter!iew.
'n a job seek to satisfy fi!e needs in life. physilogical need( experienced
meaningfulness, experienced responsability for outcomes and knowledge of the actual results),
saftey needs, social needs, self"esteem needs and self"actuali&ation. %or impro!ing my"self a
job must offer me skill !ariety, task identity, task significance and autonomy.
