What is love? Love is something which could make two person have feelings, emotions, and
memories with each other. Love could also bring tragedy in one's life. When there is a problem
between the relationship, it feels like a stomachache or a broken bone, but the heart and brain let the
pain heal. I have seen something quite familiar about this sort of love problem in one of William
Shakespeare's great stories Romeo and Juliet. The people who brought the romantic love story into
an awful situation at the end are Lord Capulet and Romeo.The two characters brought tragedy to the
story because Lord Capulet made his own decision for his family and Romeo felt too much desperate
for love with Juliet. Lord Capulet was the father of Juliet, who didnt give independence of loving a man
to her daughter and Romeo was mad for love with Juliet and caused loss both to the Capulets and
Montagues,andeventhecity.
Lord Capulet is a sarcastic, sentimental and downcast character. Who forced Juliet to marry a man of
his choice and wanted to do whatever he wants with his family . He forced Juliet to get married to a
man of his choice on thursday and if she doesnt he told her not to show her face in front of him. Which
is also written in the book at Act 3 Scene 5 in page 200 Hang thee, young baggage ! Disobedient
wretch! I tell what: get the church o Thursday , Or never after look me in the face". So, as we could see
Lord Capulet forced Juliet to get married on thursday with Paris (Lord Capulets man of choice) and
then orders to his family ended because of Juliets death. Romeo is a brave, mad, immature and fell
desperately in love character. He was a man who fell desperately in love with Juliet ,who made people
fall in trouble,and death for the process of loving Juliet. Romeo fell in love with Juliet, and didnt know
first she was his families envied persons daughter. Which he found out at Act 1 Scene 5 in page 68 Is
she a Capulet ? O dear account ! My love is foes debt". So, as we could see Romeo fell in love with
Juliet , understood she was danger and tried to fulfill their love but it didnt happen at the end because
ofRomeosmassacredecision.
While there is a person who is not guilty on the story and that character is Prince. He is a reliable and
patient character. He controlled the city, spared Romeos life for killing Tybalt and Romeo lost part of
his family too. He spared Romeos life, and also because of Romeo he paid his price of himself. He
spared Romeos at Act 3 Scene 1 in page 152 And for that offence we do exile him hence". And on
Act 5 Scene 3 in page 284, Prince said Up, I lost several members of my family as well. Everyone is
punished. Here we could see he spared Romeos life, as he tried to keep the city and people happy
butattheendhefacedhislossbecauseofRomeo.
So, the two characters who brought tragedy to the story are Lord Capulet who made his own decision
for his family and Romeo fell desperately in love with Juliet. The tragedy makers of the story Lord
Capulet wanted Juliet to marry Paris,Romeo was desperate for love and caused massacre to the city
and the innocent person from the story Prince spared Romeos life and also faced his loss. Well, at
the end both of them faced their loss, Lord Capulets death of daughter and Romeo didnt get to fulfill
his love and he died at last of the story. The story of "Romeo and Juliet" which shows how it brought
tragedytothestoryallbecauseofthetwocharacterandhowlovecouldchangeanything.
