Release from Remote Remote Release Box in Fire

Release to Engine Room/Purifier Room/Cargo

STEPS
01 Check that everybody has left the purifier room / engine room / cargo
compartment as applicable & all personnel have been accounted for.
02 Close all fuel valves, fuel pumps, purifiers and all openings (activating pull
wires) as applicable.
03 Break glass to get the key from the key holder.
04 Using the key open door to 'Remote Release Box' for the space in question
(Alarm & Vent Stops will be activated).
05 Open the screw valve of one of the 2kg CO
2
bottle.
06 Open Control Valve No. 1 in Release Box.
07 Open Control Valve No. 2 in Release Box
After a time delay of approx. 90 sec. the 5 inch main valve will open.
The main valve will close automatically after calculated release time as
applicable.
08 Check the CO
2
quantity by the CO
2
content meter.
09 If more CO
2
is required, press button " CO
2
Re-release".
CO
2
will be released as long as the Re-release button is pressed.
